Class 1

Welcome to class 1

Welcome to our Class 1 page. Here you will find information about our term including useful dates, timetable outlines and our term's topic. Photos and videos are regularly uploaded onto the page so please be sure to take a look every now and then to see what fun adventures we have been up to.

This year Class 1 are very lucky to have two teachers for different parts of the week. Every morning, Tuesday and Friday afternoon Class 1 will be taught by Miss Ella Hewitt. On a Monday and Thursday afternoon they will be taught by Mrs Jayne Pryor and on a Wednesday afternoon children will take part in a creative curriculum session. Creative curriculum groups change each term so please speak to your child's class teacher to find out which group they are in.

Our afternoon timetable this term is as follows:

Monday - PSHE and RE

Tuesday - Understanding the World

Wednesday - Creative Curriculum

Thursday - Expressive arts and design

Friday - PE

On a Friday morning you are invited to come in and take a look at the work your child has been doing that week from 8.35 - 9am. We ask that you leave promptly at 9am so that your child can settle and the learning can get underway.

If there is anything we can help you with please feel free to come in and speak to us. If it is a serious issue we may schedule an after school appointment as things are a little less hectic at this time.

A class letter with more information will be sent out as the term gets started so keep an eye out for this via your email. We look forward to getting to know you and your little one as the term progresses.

Encourage your child to observe any changes in shape, size or colour. Please return your completed 'moon journal' by the end of term.
