The Executive Headteacher, Miss Alexandra Symondson

                                                      

 

Miss Symondson is The Executive Headteacher for the three schools within The North Cotswold Schools Federation. Prior to this, Miss Symondson was Headteacher at Cold Aston CofE Primary School for seven years. Miss Symondson has been a highly successful headteacher achieving results in the top 1% nationally, achieving an Outstanding Ofsted grade under the new stringent Ofsted regime and has written for The Parliamentary Portfolio on Achieving Excellence in Schools. Miss Symondson is also one of the representatives for The North Cotswold Cluster of Primary Headteachers at the Gloucestershire Association of Primary Headteachers. Miss Symondson has also obtained the National Professional Qualification for Headship, the National Award for Special Education Needs and a diploma in Leadership and Management.

Outside of school Miss Symondson's favourite hobby is rowing. This and the training it encompasses takes up most of her free time but you may find her tinkering on the piano, guitar or cello!

 

Senior Leader, Dr. (Mrs.) Fran Regan

                                                  

                                                                                     

Mrs. Regan is the Senior Leader at Longborough CofE Primary School and exhibits incredible dedication. Mrs. Regan teaches English from years 3 to 6 and Science to both key stages across Longborough and Swell. Mrs. Regan is currently Science and History subject leader across the NCSF and is responsible for developing eco-school, school council, scrap play, rights respecting and Gloucestershire healthy living and learning within Longborough and across the NCSF. Mrs. Regan is committed to obtaining quality marks for our school, having recently secured the Tim Peake Primary Project Award and the Space Education Quality Mark (Silver status).

Mrs. Regan particularly enjoys taking learning outside of the classroom and links to real life applications wherever possible. She uses experience gained from a previous career as an Animal Welfare Scientist.

When not in school, Mrs. Regan enjoys spending time with her family, riding horses, tending to her allotment and baking fantastic cakes. 

 

Class 1 Teacher - Miss Christie Foote

                                                  

 

Miss Foote completed her training at The University of Gloucestershire attaining her BEd degree specialising in Science and Physical Education. Miss Foote completed her course attaining 'outstanding' grades.

Miss Foote will be on the Early Years Subject Leader team and supporting the development of Geography within Longborough and across the NCSF.

                                         

Class 2 Teacher - Mr Matthew Banfield

                                               

Mr Banfield is now in his second year here at Longborough; teaching Maths to years 3 to 6. He is responsible for leading the 'creative curriculum' across school and teaches our topic (History/Geography). He is Joint Subject Leader for PE across the federation and hopes to arrange lots of fixtures for our children this year.

 

 

Special Educational Needs Coordinator - Mrs. Jayne Pryor

                                                       

Mrs. Pryor has just completed her work based BA Primary Teacher Education Honours Degree at Oxford Brookes University. Mrs. Pryor has been previously working as a teaching assistant and cover supervisor within The North Cotswolds. Mrs. Pryor will be working across all three of the NCSF schools, undertaking the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENDCo) role mentored by the Executive Headteacher. Mrs. Pryor will be at Longborough School on Thursday afternoons for her dedicated SENDCo time.

 

Teaching Assistant - Mrs. Ruth Dearman

                                                

 

Mrs. Dearman is a teaching assistant, who obtained a Foundation Degree in Learning Support in 2007 and has worked in both key stages for approximately 20 years, supporting groups of pupils and  individuals. Mrs Dearman will be working mornings in class 1, and some afternoons in class 2.  

 

Teaching Assistant - Miss Charlotte Mountford

 

 

Miss Mountford is employed as a teaching assistant within Class 2. She is an excellent mathematician and assists Year 3 to 6 pupils with mathematics and  English. Miss Mountford also undertakes intervention programmes. Miss Mountford also delivers Creative curriculum sessions and is a fabulous artist!

 

Teaching Assistant - Mrs. Becky Gorton

 

 

Coming from a nursery background, Mrs. Gorton currently assists in Class One. Mrs. Gorton will also be undertaking the lunchtime supervisor role at Swell CofE Primary School. Mrs Gorton also runs our breakfast club and fun club sessions and now joins our creative curriculum team on a Monday afternoon to demonstrate her fantastic art and design skills!

 

 

Mrs. Debbie Campbell - Teaching Assistant

 

 

Mrs. Campbell has worked at Longborough Primary since 1995 and is employed as a teaching assistant. Over the years, Mrs. Campbell has worked in both key stages and presently, she assists in Key stage 2.  Mrs. Campbell has lived in the village all her life, and attended Longborough CofE Primary School, as did her two sons!

 

Mrs. Kath Wheeler - Lunchtime Assistant

 

 

Mrs. Wheeler is employed within Longborough Primary as a lunch time supervisor. She has worked at the school since 2007.

 

Tracey Hampshire - Administrator


 

Mrs Hampshire continues to be our part-time administrator, working on Mondays and Tuesdays. She always has a friendly smile awaiting our parents and visitors.

 

Rachel Oliver - Administrator

We would like to warmly welcome Mrs Oliver, who is our most recent recruit to Longborough, taking on the administrator role from Wednesday to Friday here at Longborough, and Monday and Tuesday at Cold Aston. Mrs Oliver is also our clerk to our NCSF governing body, so is a very busy lady!
