Pumpkin Soup
Class 1 have used their final donated pumpkin. We have turned our final pumpkin in to delicious pumpkin soup. Mrs Morgan helped us make the soup. First we had to cut the pumpkin in to small pieces. The year 2 children peeled and diced the carrots. We added all of this to a large pan and then Mrs Morgan boiled the vegetables with some stock cubes.
The next day we enjoyed our soup after a chilly morning break. The soup tasted delicious and warmed us up nicely.
On Tuesday 9th October class 1 visited Greystones Nature Reserve in Bourton on the Water. We had a lovely morning exploring the local countryside. We set off across the fields in search of minibeasts! We stopped on a wooded lane and found a variety of minibeasts. We used an identification sheet and magnifying glass to work together to identify our creatures. After a busy time in the woods we headed to the stream. We paddled in the water kicking the floor to see what we could catch in our net. We emptied our nets in trays and found shrimps, fish and many more minibeasts.
We had a very enjoyable morning, thank you for having us!
